It is wonderful to report our u3a membership is showing strong growth month on month, with members renewing and new members joining, We now have over 1000 members with a diverse range of Interest Groups to choose from.
Interest Groups are fundamental to the success of our u3a where the aim is helping members get together to learn something, share new experiences, and have fun.
There is no expectation that anyone is an expert who has to teach the others, the philosophy behind u3a is that we learn from each other – and preferably have fun too – it’s all about celebrating positive ageing, interest groups and friendship.
Interest Groups will state on their group page if they are full. Please contact the Group Organiser in the first instance and be prepared to provide details of your membership number. Note, the interest group page may not always be up to date – we do our best to make sure that all groups keep us informed – so it is better to first contact the group organiser to confirm if they are full or not.
If you find an Interest Group is full, or perhaps you’ve attended a group and it’s “not your cup of tea”, or perhaps you have an idea for a new group, we’d like to help.
