What do we do?
Maybe you used to play badminton many moons ago and feel you would like the chance to take it up again.
You do not need to be county standard as the emphasis is on enjoyable social sport.
We meet at the Leisure Centre on Friday afternoons where four courts are available to us. In a typical session, we have 16-20 players.

When do we meet?
We will be meeting on Friday afternoons at 2pm at Risbygate Sports Club from Friday 7th February 2025. The sessions run from 2pm to 4pm. There is no necessity to attend every week but please pre-book with the group leaders so they can book rinks and make arrangements for enough helpers at each session.
What do we do?
u3a members can bowl indoors on Fridays from 2pm to 4pm. The sessions need to be pre-booked and will cost £5/player. The use of club bowls is included in the fee.
Members do not need any experience. Flat shoes are essential. Some experienced bowlers and/or coaches will be on hand to offer advice and assistance. Free parking and café facilities are available at the club.
If players eventually wish to play more regularly than Friday afternoon sessions, they can join the Indoor bowling section of the club (includes outdoor bowling) and take part in a variety of other sessions. There are friendly roll-ups for Risbygate members most days which are available on a turn-up and play basis.
Please contact group co-ordinators, Christina & Michael, for more information and to book these sessions.

When do we meet?
Every Friday 4pm – 6pm, Skyliner Sports Centre, Rougham Tower Avenue IP32 7QB
What do we do?
We are a small and friendly group aged between 50 – 80+ who enjoy playing Pickleball.
Pickleball is played either indoors or outdoors as singles or doubles. It’s played on a court similar in size and markings to a badminton court but players often use an actual badminton court or mark out pickleball lines on a tennis court. Players hit a light plastic ball across a net which is similar in height to a tennis net using lightweight “paddles” roughly double the size of table tennis bats. The group plays indoors on a badminton court. (There are no outdoor facilities)
We have room for more members interested in joining us weekly on a Friday between 5pm – 6pm at the Skyliner Sports Centre. Bats and balls supplied. A One hour session costs £3.
Why not come along for a ‘taster’ session to try it out? Please contact Pam the group leader first to arrange a suitable date.

What do we do?
A great way to exercise with like-minded people, Racketball is played indoors, on a squash court, so the weather need not keep you away.
You do not need to have your own equipment as English Squash and Racketball have supported us in the development of this Group and provided all we need. All you need is your own sportswear!
There is a limit to the number of possible players per session and our numbers can vary. Please send an email to the group leader if you would like to join us.
